FOCUS: RETIREMENT PLANNING, WEALTH MANAGEMENT, GOALS-BASED FINANCIAL PLANNING
Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. - Robert Louis Stevenson
Currently a Managing Partner, Bert got his start in the industry in August of 2000. A graduate of the University of North Carolina with an MBA from Wake Forest University, he also holds a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Bert is passionate about empowering his clients to understand their financial choices and make confident, informed decisions.
Recognized by Equitable Advisors as the 2018 National Honor Advisor, Bert appreciates that effective financial planning is key to enabling individuals and businesses to experience freedom, independence, and choice for themselves and those who rely on them. He is committed to guiding individuals toward a clearer understanding of their financial options and identifying what is most important to them. Through this dedication, he equips his clients to make impactful decisions that benefit their families and the communities they serve—both now and in the future.
Married for more than 20 years to his wife, Peyton, Bert is the father of three sons—Jackson, Gibbon, and Bill. He enjoys being wherever his family is—and, for very short periods of time, where they are not. In particular, he loves the outdoors and can often be found hunting, fishing, or hiking—sometimes appearing to do so simply as an excuse to spend more time outside.
